Security has been increased in
Uganda after the US warned of a terror threat similar to last month's attack by
militants in neighbouring Kenya. Somalia's al-Shabab attacked Kampala in 2010,
killing more than 70 people when suicide bombers attacked two restaurants. It
had also claimed to be behind the September attack on the Westgate shopping
centre in Nairobi, in which at least 67 people were killed. Uganda and
Kenya deployed troops to Somalia to help
Government forces curb Al-Shabab militants. Since the militants claimed responsibility
for the westgate shopping centre attack and stated the reason as the deployment
of Kenyan troops in their country,Uganda has tightened its security.Meanwhile
concerning the westgate shopping centre attack in Nairobi Kenya, a 23-year-old
Norwegian citizen of Somali origin identified as, Hassan Abdi Dhuhulow, is
being investigated by Norwegian police over the Westgate attack. The man is
suspected of helping to plan and carry out the attack, as shown by the CCTV
footage released by the Kenyan authorities
