NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION CHAIRMAN RESIGNS

Festus Odimegwu, Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC) has resigned his appointment from the Commission. A statement issued by the Special Assistant (media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sam Nwaobasi said that President Goodluck Jonathan has already accepted the resignation. Meanwhile, the Commissioner representing Abia State in the Commission, Dr. Sam Ahaiwe, will act as chairman pending the appointment of a substantive chairman. There had been controversies surrounding Odimegwu's appointment as chairman as a lot of people claim he is incapable of conducting the National Census. I guess he figured out they were right…Lol!
