The National Space Research and
Development Agency has reported that some parts of the country would experience
partial eclipse of the Sun, which is expected to occur on Sunday November 3,
2013 across West Africa. The director-general of the agency, Dr. Seidu
Mohammed, advised members of the public not to panic, describing the event as a
natural phenomenon. The partial eclipse is expected to begin across the country
from the North to the South and eastern parts of Nigeria, including the Federal
Capital Territory (FCT) at different times, between 1.06 p.m. and 4.09
