KENYA WESTGATE SUSPECTS DENIED BAIL

A Kenyan court has denied bail to four people charged over the attack in September on the Westgate shopping centre in the capital, Nairobi.The court ruled they could not be bailed because of security fears and possible interference in the case.The four, said to be foreigners, are accused of aiding those who launched the attack, in which 67 were killed and 200 injured. They deny the charges.The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab group said it had carried out the attack.The men charged have been named as Mohammed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah, Adnan Ibrahim and Hussein Hassan.Their nationalities have not been disclosed, but they are said to be ethnic Somalis.In addition to aiding a terrorist group, they are also accused of being in Kenya illegally.
