STELLA ODUAH TO APPEAR BEFORE SENATE COMMITTEE ON AVIATION

The Senate has withdrawn its decision that the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, should appear and brief the entire Senate house about recurring air crashes in the country. The withdrawal followed a motion by Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba who invoked Order 53 rule 6 of Senate standing Orders as amended, and was seconded by Deputy Minority Whip, Senator Ganiyu Solomon. The Senate leader added, that the Senate at its Executive Session, resolved that the briefing by the Minister, should be now held before the Senate Committee on Aviation and not the entire senate. No official date has been fixed for the briefing.
