= A Federal High Court in Kaduna State has fixed January 20th, 2014 for the mention of a suit seeking to determine whether or not President Goodluck Jonathan is eligible to contest the
2015 presidential election.

= About 66 power companies have submitted bids for the purchase of 10 Nigeria National Integrated Power Plants (NIPP) in the Niger Delta.

= More units of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, including the University of Ibadan, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, University of Lagos, Lagos State University (LASU), University of Calabar, Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, Federal University of Technology Akure, Federal University of Technology Minna and Ahmadu Bello University chapters, have voted for the suspension of the strike by the union during chapter congresses held nationwide.
