#HEADLINES


= Members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, in the Federal Ministry of Education including the Headquarters of the Ministry, the Inspectorate Departments and the 104 Federal Unity Colleges nationwide, have begun a four-day warning strike over alleged government refusal to implement agreement between Federal Government and Labour on members’ conditions of service, among others.
= An Oyo State High Court has, ruled against the bail applications filed by the former Head of Service in the state, Mrs. Kudirat Adeleke, and 11 others, who are standing trial for alleged N5.6billion pension fraud.
= The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced it will stage a peaceful demonstration to INEC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday to register its disapproval of the Commission’s string of failures in conducting recent elections, including the Delta Central Senatorial District bye-election and the ‘inconclusive’ Anambra Governorship poll.
= The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to make public the names of all the sitting Judges who are currently under investigation.
= South Sudan’s former Vice President Riek Machar says he is putting structures in place to challenge President Salva  Kiir for the leadership of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement ahead of the 2015 general election.
= Russian police say a group of radical Islamists have been arrested in Moscow with bombs, hand grenades and guns seized.
= According to the police six people have been killed in an explosion near a nuclear power plant in India's Tamil Nadu State.
= The Nigeria Football Federation says it will need more money to prosecute some of its key engagements in the coming year.
= In Basketball… John Wall had 31 points as the Washington Wizards cruised to a 116-111 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.  
= Troubled teenage pop star Justin Bieber has been accused of defacing a wall at a hotel in Australia by covering the site in graffiti. Photographs which have emerged online appear to show the 19-year-old star spraying graffiti at the site, and he later posted a picture of his handiwork on his Instagram page.
