FAAN ACQUIRES X-RAY MACHINES FOR MURTALA MUHAMMED INTL AIRPORT


The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has installed seven new X-ray scanning machines at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, according to Mr Yakubu Dati, General Manager, Corporate Communications. Addressing a news conference on Tuesday in Lagos, Datti said that five of the equipment were installed at the cargo basement of the international terminal. Datti who said the machines included cargo screening machines, carry-on screening machines, hand-held metal detectors, 3-D body scanners, hold baggage screening machines and walk-through metal detectors, also added that the new scanning machines would be installed in other airports across the country.
