UGANDA : NO PROTESTS WITHOUT POLICE APPROVAL

Ugandan Members Of Parliament have passed a controversial bill limiting public protests. The Public Order Management bill was passed despite fierce criticism from Amnesty International, religious leaders, opposition members and the general public. What this bill entails is that police approval will now be required if three or more people want to gather publicly to discuss political issues, while they can also break up meetings of people discussing political issues in their own homes ("freeze, this is the police,we heard you discuss politics while making breakfast").The Police must receive written notice of public meetings seven days in advance and they can only take place between 6:00am and 6:00pm.I guess the rising number of countries in Africa protesting against their government has Ugandan politicians really paranoid.....Lol!
