On wednesday 31st of July,2013,the Independent National
Electoral commission (INEC) finally approved the merger of three political
parties : Action Congress Of Nigeria (ACN) The All Nigeria People's Party
(ANPP) and the Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) to form the All
Progressives Congress (APC).With prominent political members of the all new APC
such as the publicity secretary of the APC Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the governor
of Lagos State Babatunde Fashola expressing happiness to be part of the first merger
in the country's democratic history,i can help but wonder how this would all
pan out.I mean three different parties with individual party members aspiring
to be candidates or flagbearers now have more people to contend with to earn
the partys' ticket. There is also gist that 23 state governors have already declared their interest to join the
party, hmmm.Would this merger be drama free,a success?Do you think it would be
strong enough to contend with the ruling party come 2015???
