The Lagos State Government, on Thursday, appealed to residents living close to the beaches to evacuate in order to avert loss of lives.The appeal was made following an Atlantic Ocean surge at Lekki beaches on Thursday morning, which resulted in water flooding areas around the beach.
The government directed people living by Lekki, Alpha and Elugushi Beaches to vacate now as serious ocean surges were imminent.Residents were yesterday were thrown into a state of panic when tidal waves flooded their homes between 3am and 6am. So no beach for me anytime soon.....:(
